Amy L. Luegering

Even as a young person, she tried to lift up the spirits of the lowly and show loving kindness.

Amy would give every strength to help others.  Amy was born in Bellefonte, PA to Jim and Diane Heiberger.  Her early years were in California, where her mother Diane learned about our Creator, Jehovah God. Her school years were spent living in Greece, NY.

She was the first of four children, followed by Michael Heiberger, David Heiberger and Heather (Heiberger) King. She loved helping her mother raise her siblings. Her parents instilled in her a deep love for Jehovah God, so she dedicated herself as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in July of 1984.

Amy was a passionate, hard-working, spiritual-minded person, known for being encouraging to all and becoming everyone's cheerleader to 'keep going!'. She appreciated the simple things of life and was content with them. She loved nature, gardening, crafts, sewing, and repurposing items into something worth keeping.

Peter met Amy at a gathering when they were teenagers. Married 32 years ago, her favourite memories were spending vacations camping at the Adirondack Lakes, years living in Palmyra, and especially raising their daughter, Hannah Luegering, who later became the wife of Justin Johnson.

Four years ago, they simplified greatly and settled in the congregation of Middleport. There Amy was finally able to fulfill a lifetime goal, engaging as a full-time Bible teacher. Up until she became ill, she still had a strong desire to teach the good news of God's Kingdom.

Our beloved Amy will be dearly missed by her husband Peter, her daughter, Hannah, her family (including parents, siblings, nieces and nephews) and numerous friends.
