Arthur G. Kreutz

Arthur G. Kreutz, of Medina, passed away at home on November 11, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on November 30, 1941, he was one of two sons to parents August P. Kreutz and Alice M. (Rosebrock) Kreutz.

Arthur was a graduate of Newfane High School and continued his education at SUNY Brockport. There he earned A Bachelor Degree in Mathematics Education. Arthur went on to work as a teacher for a few years before pursuing a career as a quality control technician. In this role, he worked for various companies over the years, including Fisher Price Toys in Medina and lastly Rodgard Corp. in Buffalo.

In 1996, Arthur married his beloved wife, Susie (Shingleton). In his pastime, Arthur enjoyed skirmishing, a form of competitive target shooting involving muskets and riffles from the Civil War era. He was a member and Regional Commander of the North South Skirmish Association of Virginia. Arthur shared this pastime with his wife, and the couple enjoyed many trips to competitions in Virginia. He also loved motorcycles, particularly Harley’s, and was a member of ABATE. Arthur was also a member of the Lincoln Post #1483, VFW Auxiliary. He was an avid Yankee’s fan and enjoyed playing men’s softball and Euchre.

He is predeceased by his parents, August and Alice Kreutz.

Arthur is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Susie Lane-Kreutz; daughter, Sarah Gollus (Arthur Nepute); granddaughter, Stephanie Wood; brother, C. Peter (Kathy) Kreutz of Sanborn; brother in-law, James (Vicky Barry) Shingleton, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Jimmer (Kris) Shingleton, Jr., Rhiannon (Ray) Farrell, Amberleigh (Corey) Kinsey, Christopher (Laura) Shingleton and Patrick Shingleton; and many cherished friends.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Post #1483 VFW, 216 E. Center St., Medina, NY 14103.
