Delbert M. Jackson

Delbert M. Jackson, age 67, of Knowlesville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 11, 2023 following a battle with cancer.

Born on February 23, 1956 in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Herman M. and Zell (Dunaway) Jackson. Delbert attended Medina Schools and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1974-1978. He married the former Linda L. Crawford on October 25, 1975. Del was an avid hunter and fisherman and he also enjoyed cars. Delbert loved his family and many friends and will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Clarence Jackson, Eugene Jackson, Naaman Jackson, Vicky Jackson and Lois Dent.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Jackson of Knowlesville; beloved sons, William C. (Jillian) Jackson and Stephen J. Jackson; he treasured each of his beautiful grandchildren, Elizabeth (Greg) Keeton, Sebastian M., Issac C., Simon J., Caleb L. Abigail L. and the late Noah J. Jackson; siblings, Benita (John) Halbrook, Marylou Hinman, Darlene Withey, William Jackson, Orville and Ralph Jackson.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 2-4PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. His funeral service with full military honors will immediately follow at 4PM at the funeral home. Future interment will be in the WNY National Cemetery, Pembroke.
