Dorothy A. Dutcher

Dorothy A. Dutcher, of Medina, NY entered into rest on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born December 10, 1937 in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Josephine L. (Mack) Petkus. Dorothy lived most of her life in the Medina area. In April of 1959 she married her husband, the late Charles L. Dutcher. The couple raised a family of three daughters. Dorothy worked for many years for Fisher-Price Toys until their closing. Dorothy enjoyed reading, quilting, going to yard sales and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 2004; and brothers, Joseph and James Petkus.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra (Ronald) Hill, Sheryl (Barry) Mix and Susan (Jeffrey) Luxon; grandchildren, Steven (Michelle) Hill, Stephanie (Trevor) Fox, Tiffany Mix, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Luxon Jr; Joseph (Ashley) Luxon, Jennifer Luxon and Julie Luxon; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Mildred Petkus; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately for the family. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Orleans at www.hospiceoforleans.org. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
