Mrs. Eileen N. Hellert, of the Town of Shelby, passed away at her home on Friday evening, September 7, 2018.

Mrs. Hellert was born in the Town of Clarence, April 25, 1923, a daughter of the late George W. and Edith (Zumstein) Hint.  A graduate of Middleport High School, class of 1942, she married Howard E. Hellert.  She was employed by Arnold’s Restaurant, the Medina Memorial Hospital, as a nurse’s aide, Harrison Radiator Division of GMC, General Electric and she retired from Bernz-O-Matic on her 75th birthday following 28 years of service.  Mrs. Hellert enjoyed quilting and being outside working in her yard and on the farm in Shelby.

Survivors include four children, Lee (Betty) Hellert and David Hellert of the Town of Shelby, Louise (John) Seifart of Lyndonville and Ruth Ann (Dwight) Wilson of Canandaigua; 5 grandchildren, David Wilson, Brian Wilson, Christy Wilson, Jennifer Haylett and Michael Green; 6 great grandchildren, Brooke, Amber and Cody Wilson, Kaydence, Greyson and Jaxen; her sister, Iola Gaskill of Washington State; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Howard, in 1983; and two brothers, Frederick and Billy Hint.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.  Her family will gather on a windy day to return her to the land she loved in Shelby where she planted and nurtured many hundreds of trees.
