Eugene J. Baker

Eugene “Butch” Baker Sr., 78, of East Shelby, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018 in his home.

A farmer at heart and by trade, Eugene made his living crop farming with the support of his family. In retirement, he continued to enjoy fishing, gardening, a good joke, cutting wood, tinkering with his trucks and tractors, and visiting with local friends and family.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Jean (née Shetler) Baker; sons, Eugene (Sherry) Baker Jr., Thomas (Robin) Baker, and David (Lori) Baker; grandchildren, Chad, Richard, Jason, Jared and Kaydi; and great-grandchildren. His youngest son, Richard Baker, predeceased him in 1989.

A family-led funeral will be held at Millville Cemetery on Sat., June 16 at 1 p.m. Following interment, friends and family may gather at his home to celebrate his life.
