Evelyn G. Sarchia

Evelyn G. Sarchia, 86 has been reunited with her love ones in heaven on September 4, 2018.

Mrs. Sarchia was born in the Town of Newfane, October 26, 1931, a daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Schurr) Moore.  She was employed by Bernz-o-matic, General Electric and retired from Eastman Kodak Company. Evelyn’s biggest joy in life was her family, and was proud of her children and their accomplishments. She established a sense of stability not only to her children but her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well.  She was the centre, the strength and the inspiration to all of them. She enjoyed music, ceramics, sewing, knitting and her gardens. She also had a love for animals and was well known for giving a stray a loving home.

Survivors include her children, Patricia (Victor) Velocci, Francis (Margo) Sarchia, Jr. and Leona Weese; 6 grandchildren, Anthony Naples, Patricia (Adam) Driscoll, Pamela “JoJo” (Jeff) Phillips, Peter J. Sarchia, Ashley Sarchia and Chad (Kristin) Weese; great grandchildren, Tyler Valley, Ryan and Aden Weese, Makayla Naples, Gannon and Logan Driscoll; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Francis W. Sarchia, Sr. on July 25, 2002; her son, Peter F. Sarchia on April 14, 2005 and her son-in-law, Lawrence R. Weese on April 27, 2012.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 22, 2018 (10AM-12Noon) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina.  A graveside committal service will be held at 12:30 at St. Mary's Cemetery with The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls officiating.
