Franklin T. "Frank" Hartway

Franklin T. “Frank” Hartway, loving son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the age of 29.

Frank was born in Medina on December 6, 1993, a son of Charles J. and Darlene (Wilson) Hartway. He attended Medina Central School and graduated from Deuel High School, Class of 2012. Frank was a talented athlete. Throughout high school he played football and participated in wrestling. He went on to graduate from South Dakota State University in 2015.

Frank enjoyed working on his farm. Alongside his brothers, he was a partner of Hartway Farms in Barre, NY. Frank had many passions in life. He had his private pilot’s license and loved to travel. Other than his love for agriculture, Frank loved his border collie, Lucca. You could always find him in the passenger seat of his pickup truck.

Frank came from a large family whom he cared for deeply. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Darlene Hartway; his siblings, Nathaniel (Megan) Hartway, Justin (Kristin) Hartway, Katie (Alex) Misiti, Travis (Cherub) Hartway, Bailey (Robert) Bannister, Martha (Eli) Bannister, and Ethan Carson; paternal grandmother, Bonnie (late Charles) Hartway; and maternal grandmother, Cecelia (late Charles) Wilson. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Makaila Albanese, as well as his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 12:30PM at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 211 Eagle St. Medina, NY. In lieu of calling hours, everyone is welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life Gathering immediately following Frank’s Mass at The Knights of Columbus, 418 Main St., Medina. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
