Frederick E. Grant

Mr. Frederick E. “Ted” Grant, of Medina, passed away on April 5, 2018 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Grant was born New Year’s Eve, 1935 in Granville, NY, a son of the late George and Nellie (Jones) Grant.  He served his country with the US Air Force entering on October 28, 1954.  He was stationed in the European Theatre at the Zweibrucken Air Force Base in Germany where he was an electrical maintenance supervisor on missile systems.  Ted received a Purple Heart.  He was discharged as a Technical Sergeant on October 31, 1974 at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY following 20 years of service.  Ted later worked for Kleen Brite in Brockport as an electrician.

Ted enjoyed visiting with friends and spending time on his computer.  He spent many happy times walking his dog “Dexter”.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carol (Dennis) Grant; children, Aden (Aberham Kolk) Pennington and Christopher; 2 brothers, Walter and Gordon Grant; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his son, Gary.

There will be no prior calling hours.  Military honors and inurnment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby later in the spring at a time to be announced.
