Gertrude M. Kabasta

Gertrude M. Kabasta, of Medina, NY entered into rest at the age of 89 on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Crossroads House in Batavia.

Born December 22, 1936 in Robison, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Clella (Fulcomer) Saxton. On October 30, 1954 she married Frank H. Kabasta. She was a longtime parishioner of the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church in Medina. Gertrude worked for many years at Ontario Foods. She enjoyed crafting and collecting owls.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Frank Kabasta.

Survivors include her five children, Carol (Dave) Tabor of Albion, Allan Kabasta of Waterport, Teresa (John) Nappa of Middleport, Joseph (Karen) Kabasta of TN and Edward (Nicholas) Kabasta of CA.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, 12111 Ridge Rd., Medina. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 12 PM. Interment will be in Bates Road Cemetery.
