Irvin C. Woodward

Irvin C. Woodward, age 61, died May 30, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Medina on December 9, 1964, a son of Charles and Dorothy (Miller) Woodward and had lived in this area all of his life.

Irv worked for the NYS Thruway Authority as a Diesel Mechanic until his retirement on the day he passed away. He enjoyed anything with an engine, was a Buffalo Sabres fan, an ultimate Buffalo Bills Fan and enjoyed anything having to do with NASCAR. His most favorite activity in his life was supporting and watching the loves of his life...his grandchildren. In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Woodward was predeceased by a son: Dakota Joel Woodward, his brother: William, his sister: Shirley, and his mother-in-law: Charlotte Laneville.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years Kelly, his children: Stefani (Justin) Coleman of Brockport, Nicolas (Caitlin) Elliott of Barre, Cordell Woodward of FL, his sisters: Pam (Bob) Grant of IO, Brenda Jenkins of NC, his grandchildren: Mason, Bailey, Eliana, Benjamin, Myles, Thomas, Marcus, his father-in-law: Raymond Laneville, his best friends: Kenny and Jenn Tross and Ken Sr., his cousin Annie Lou Mantha who was a major support to him during his illness, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street-Medina on THURSDAY June 4, 2026 from 4-7 pm where his Funeral Service will be at 7pm following visitation. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
