James R. Lotz

James R. Lotz, 84, of Middleport, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born March 30, 1937 in Akron, NY Jim was a son of the late Roy F. and Thelma R. (Frisch) Lotz. He married the former Nanette M. Karney on July 29, 1961 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Middleport. Jim started working at an early age. He worked for Bathrick Enterprises in Lockport for many years, then for Sigma Motors in Medina. Jim was a kind, quiet and faithful man. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 60 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching old western movies and especially spending time with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nanette Lotz of Middleport and many close friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. Masks will be mandatory. Private interment will be in Boxwood Cemetery, Medina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
