Mr. Jerry M. Ward, of Medina, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Ward was born in Medina, April 2, 1941 a son of the late Homer Jay and Mary (Kissane) Ward, Sr. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1959 and Canisius College, he was employed by the Albion Central School District, as a high school Spanish teacher, retiring in 1975. In 1978, he and Theodore J. Auble founded Happy Tails dog grooming and operated the business until July, 2016.
Mr. Ward was a great cook, a passionate gardener and enjoyed his Afghan Hounds.
Survivors include Theodore J. Auble, dear friend and partner in Happy Tails dog grooming business; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Homer J. “Pat” (late Gloria) Ward, Sr., Kissane A. Ward (late James Ferguson), Charles L. “Chuck” (late Dorothy) Ward and Judy A. Ward.
A private service will be held.
