John D. Rotoli

John D. Rotoli, age 44, of Medina, NY entered into rest unexpectedly in his sleep on June 10, 2026.

Born December 16, 1981 in Fredericksburg, VA, he was a son of Kathleen (Kitanik) and David Rotoli. John moved to New York when he was little. He attended Oakfield-Alabama Central Schools. John had a passion for firefighting. He trained and was an active member of the Albion Volunteer Fire Co. When he moved to Medina, he became a member of the Shelby Volunteer Fire Co. He remained active with the company until his passing. John worked for Snappy in their shipping department. He also loved DJing at events under the name, Droppin’ the Tones. John also loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. John was a kind person who will be remembered for always being willing to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

John was predeceased by both his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Maryann Rotoli and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Rose Kitanik.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Kathleen (Dannie) Sims; father, David (Shari) Rotoli; siblings, Sara (Chris) Brush, Andrew (Samantha) Rotoli and Bridget (Charlie) Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 20 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Shelby Vol. Fire Hall, 4695 S. Gravel Rd., Medina, where his memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00PM. A luncheon will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shelby Vol. Fire Co., P.O. Box 1, Medina, NY 14103. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
