She was a member of Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion and volunteered on both the local honor guard and on the WNY National Cemetery honor guard according military honors at funerals for veterans.

Maxine had a deep faith in God and was an active member of the East Shelby Community Bible Church. She loved her church family. Maxine enjoyed traveling and loved to dance and listen to music. She cherished being a mother and grandmother.
