Frank & Norma Salvagio, It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to our parents, Frank and Norma Salvagio at a private family service at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Medina at 1PM on June 23, 2024 with a reception to follow. They will be interned at the Long Island National Cemetery at the family’s convenience.

 

Frank Joseph Salvagio was born May 7, 1926 to Joseph and Lucy (Lanza) Salvagio in Bronx, NY. He had one sister, Jean Miller. Dad enlisted in the Navy during WWII at 17 years old. After serving, he went to Dartmouth and received his accounting degree. He worked for Kodak until his retirement.

 

Norma Marie (Bernard) Salvagio was born September 29, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Peter and Mary (Baker) Bernard. She had 2 sisters, Elaine Teed and Eileen Power. Mom went to the Normal College in NYC and received her teaching degree. She taught second grade until starting a family.

 

Mom and Dad were married on Aug 17, 1957 and lived on Long Island (North Bellmore, NY) until dad was transferred to Rochester. They raised three daughters in Fairport, Lynn Sacco, Janet Husung and Carol Brasch. They enjoyed numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 

Dad died at the NYS Veteran Home in Batavia on February 15, 2014 and mom passed on April 10, 2024 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home in LeRoy. They were predeceased by their respective parents and sisters. They have joined their infant son, Frank Peter, and their granddaughter, Lisa Marie Husung, in heaven.

 

Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
