Patricia A. Kinne, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Born March 21, 1957 in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Bernice (Lyness) Geniton. If you ever met Patty, you know how generous and kind she was, a true angel. She loved her family, friends, neighbors, and most of all, God. She spent most of her childhood helping her sister Donna raise her four children. Somehow, she got out of that adventure alive and intact, knowing she would want a family of her own someday. Patty married the love of her life Tom in 1987, and their son Andy was born in 1988. They built a life in Middleport, where Andy was raised. Patty worked at Bernz-O-Matic in Medina for many years before finding her true passion for working at the Arc of Orleans County. It was a perfect fit for her, helping those who needed a hand and a prayer.
Andy and his fiancé Autumn gave Patty the greatest gift of all in 2018, a grandson named Declan. His name means "full of goodness" or "man of prayer". A very fitting name for Patty's grandson, but he was much more than that to her. Declan and Patty were inseparable, and, without doubt, he will carry on her joyous, infectious kindness and joy. Patty suffered much of her life with illnesses and injuries, but she never gave up. She was a fighter and was determined to be here for her family and friends, but God called her home on July 30. She was surrounded by her family when she passed, with Tom holding her hand.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, Andy and Pat Geniton; brother, Dan Geniton; nephews, Zachary Johnson and Steve Campbell. She is survived by her son, Andy (Autumn) Matusak; grandson, Declan; sister, Donna Brennan; nieces, Tammy (Junior) Ruiz and Christine Campbell; nephew, Tommy (Dawn) Brennan; several great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and everybody who knew her as "Aunt Patty".
Patty is at peace and may we all live our lives like she did, with joy, kindness, and an unwavering faith.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 2-4PM, immediately followed by her memorial service at 4PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
