~~Mr. Robert C. Allard, of Medina, passed away on June 5, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving wife & family. Bob  was born in Medina, September 26, 1932, a son of the late Robert and Myrtle (Hill) Allard.  A US Army veteran, he served from 1952-54 during the Korean Conflict.  He was employed by Halstead Oil,  R.N. Parsons and later by Agway Energy Products, as a service technician, for 50 years.  He was an active, faithful member of the East Shelby Community Bible Church, Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion and Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Senior Citizens of Western Orleans.  Bob enjoyed working in his shop, gardening and decorating the yard for Christmas.  He was an avid Buffalo Bills & New York Yankees fan.  Bob was honored to be chosen by Assemblyman Steve Hawley on The Washington D.C. Patriot Trip to lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Survivors include his wife, Rosalia (Rose)  whom he married on Nov. 28, 2015; 5 children, Robin (Bill) Wehling, Randy (Sue) Allard, Dennis Allard, Paula (Jessie) Cartlidge and Mary J. Puterbaugh; step children, Karen (Edward) Higgins, Gary (Lana) Schlegel, Ronald (Laurie) Schlegel and Lynne (JR) Brundage, Kathie (Dan) McGillivray, Frank (Gwen) Goodrich, many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his former wife, Agnes Austin in July 8, 2014, and his second wife Arlene G. Allard on March 3, 2010; 2 brothers, Ralph (Norma) Allard and Francis Allard; 2 sisters, Marion (Gordon) Flynn and Betty (Bill) Dunn. Friends may call on Friday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina   Pastor Erik Olsen will officiate at his funeral service on Saturday at 3PM at the East Shelby Community Bible Church.  Military honors will be accorded at the church by members of Butts-Clark post #204, American Legion and Lincoln Post #1483, VFW following the funeral service.  A private interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the East Shelby Community Bible Church or the Senior Citizens of Western Orleans.
