Robert E. Genet

Robert E. Genet, age 90, died August 8, 2026 in the Orchard Rehab and Nursing Center following a long illness. He was born October 5, 1935 in Royalton to John and Ethel (Huntington) Genet and was a lifelong resident of this area.

Bob was a United States Army Veteran having served from 1958-1964 having earned the Rank of PFC E-3. Bob worked for many companies including R. Brown Drywall, Mirabelli Plastering and American Concrete.

Mr. Genet was predeceased by his parents, and his siblings: Doris (Earl) Gunby, and Richard (Joan) Genet.

He is survived by his daughters: Beth (Tom) Staples, Brenda (Rick Hughes) Anderson, his brother: John (Carol) Genet, his grandchildren: D.J. (Erica Stahl) Anderson, Heather (Adam) Dresser, Magnar (Nelly) Anderson, Abygail (Liam) Cooper, Daniel Anderson, Gracie (Cameron Brownell) Hughes, his Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Henry Dresser, Aoife and larla Cooper, Izzy Anderson as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Hunt Hollow Cemetery, Dalton, NY. Bob's arrangements are in the care of The Cooper Funeral Home of Medina.
