Virginia Lloyd Roberts, 89, of Medina, NY died peacefully at home on July 15, 2025, following a battle with cancer. Born on December 24, 1935 in Scottsville, NY, she graduated from the NYS Teachers College at Geneseo in 1957.
Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Lee A. Roberts; brother, Paul Lloyd; sisters, Leva Blowers and Pat Cook; sisters-in-law, Anna R. Bundschuh and Joan Lloyd; and brothers-in-law, Larry Blowers, Orren J. Roberts and John Bundschuh.
She is survived by her children, Todd (Deborah) Roberts, Molly (Bruce) Webster, Carol Roberts and Joy (Steven) Huff; grandchildren, Adam, Lizbeth (Nick) Quesnel, Derek (Stephanie Thompson) and Mason Roberts, Justin (Jennifer), Thomas (Elizabeth), Michael (Michelle Skrzypek) and Bradley Webster, Richard (Christie) Wolk, Kimberly (Kurtis) Franciose, Ryan (Ashlee Hirji), Noah and Evan Huff; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Ava and Preston Franciose, Brooke Webster, Carter and Ruby Wolk, Braidn and Kai Quesnel, Willow and Theodore Webster; sister-in-law, Joan Roberts; brother-in-law, Paul Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Medina, where she served in many roles. She volunteered for many organizations, including the Medina Memorial Hospital Twigs Association, Home Builders, Meals on Wheels and the Medina Area Association of Churches. She was also a proud blood donor, having donated over 9 gallons of blood for the Red Cross.
Virginia’s main passion was her family. She was a Brownie leader and supported her children in 4-H, Medina Mustang Band and all of their athletic activities. She enjoyed bowling and played in a women’s league for over 40 years. She also enjoyed square dancing, cards, puzzles, homemaking, gardening, babies, Christmas & the NY Yankees. She will be missed especially for her baking, playing games together and her smile.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 15 from 4-7PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, NY 14103. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 10AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, W. Shelby, followed by a memorial service at 11:30AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 522 Main St., Medina, NY 14103. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans at www.hospiceoforleans.org or the First Presbyterian Church (address above).
